What I was doing this time last year, or celebrating 3 yrs on ZG!

I saw today's Q and R and really didn't remember what I was doing last year this time, so went to my September 2008 blogs and remembered -
Turning this many! (waving 2 fingers)
September 14, 2008 was the day during my prolonged celebration of being 2 years old on ZaadzNowGaia when my dear friend willowinthewind (Jeannie) said this:
"Yes yesyesyes sister-in-heart! This community as a whole and all the smaller circles of community are a profound source of inspiration to me too! I am stretched pulled expanded, don't even recognize my own bone structure so much anymore, because of the wondrous inspiration of YOU and everyone here. Wow. Deep bows. Peace. And oceans of love!"
There is a tenderness in me thinking of Jeannie always these days because what she has been going through in companioning her mother dying... How beautifully and lovingly she is doing it...
So, last year I summed up the first two years on ZNG - what has happened this year?
Well, last fall I attempted to reintegrate into my church community, and failed. So I kept busy with work and association matters, and eventually went to Japan in December - see Impressions of Japan, or Kaleidoscope (edit one)
after which I fell into my usual seasonal affective disorder slump and only blogged three times until June - about coming back again and again to the same dream, about the death of our beloved cat Splat, and about the first anniversary of the God Pod.
I started to get busy again with association work in April with a Toronto meeting (this was one of the only times I have traveled recently without even attempting a Gaia meetup, which reflects the inward mode I was still in), but it took me a while to get truly into gear.
My next blog was Birthday Joy!
But it wasn't until late June and the breaking off for the last time with my ex-partner that I began to feel truly alive and powerful again. You can see this in the July, August and September blogs, where I am writing poetry again, passionately living music and in the midst of Gaia meets in New Jersey, Dayton and Toronto (planning Vancouver and Nashville in November and December), association work and lots and lots of contact with friends.
Life is so very very very good.
The image used is from the Virgin Islands, where I plan to go on a company-sponsored retreat in late April-early May... many many exciting plans!
Love to you all!

…and we all love you too. Thanks for the trip up and down memory lane. What an adventure. “Life is so very very very good” indeed.
Amy :)
Thank you for this summary, Ms. Nic. It's sometimes so amazing to look back and see where we've been. Who would have suspected so many things would have happened? Who would have guessed we would have learned so much? Who would have guessed specific sufferings and joys? thanks for sharing, sweet one!
unbelievably busy week, my dear friends. I kept remembering I hadn't replied and forgetting again :) but here I am, just before sleeping, just before waking up and leaving for Toronto to see Amy and everyone, finally getting back to you.
Yes, Amy, it is quite an adventure. Tonight and last night were opportunities to go back down memory lane in another, to meet people I haven't seen in years, who graduated high school with me. Fascinating, really, I will tell you all about it when I see you tomorrow.
Ms. Kathy! No, never would have suspected all these things would have happened. It was a very packed week, really difficult in some ways (including having to fire my ex-partner, not something I ever wanted to do), and yet amazingly nearly everything got done.
Much love to you both.
Oh, Nic. It was so lovely to meet you once again. I admire you so much, dear lovely adventurer. And omg, six hours flew by as if on superliminal speed.
Well, hope u're having an enjoyable time in Toronto. All the best with the rest of your travels.
Amy you are truly the hostess with the mostess! Big hugs
Well, it's very productive, and there are fun bits with friends but mostly a lot of very hard work, my dear. I will be on the run again most of today and tomorrow and then driving home the next day :) looking forward to catching up and blogging etc late this week!
Yesterday, September 22, was my actual 3year Gaiaversary, and I celebrated by being so busy with work that I didn't even get onto Gaia! LOL! But it has been a great three years, and I am really looking forward to the next three meetups, in Calgary with Frans, Vancouver with Terrill and perhaps others, and Nashville with Zennie, boogie, starlight, Hal and Rain - see
More trips, more Gaia meets! Vancouver and Nashville
Sending you a bunch of belated Happy 3rd Gaiaversary wishes, Nicole!
thank you so much!
Virgin Islands mmmmm ? sounds very romantic.
=}
yes, my love, swimming through crystalline waters side by side, lounging on the beach, long walks on the sand hand in hand. So so many beautiful experiences we have to anticipate, isn't life simply glorious?
